John, the youngest of the Galilean fisherman to lay down his nets and follow Jesus, recorded these words in the eighth chapter of the last of the four gospels, “You will know the truth and the truth will set you free!”
Free. Free to live a life beyond the illusory world created by the dreamers, schemers and the despiteful deceivers.
Truth, as Jesus pointed out, is liberating.
No sooner had Jesus declared these words, however, than the schemers and despiteful deceivers “picked up stones to stone him.”
“Sometimes people don’t want to hear the truth because they don’t want their illusions destroyed,” concluded German philosopher and cultural critic Friedrich Nietzsche.
It has become increasingly apparent that the illusions of the collectivists left cannot exist in the real world, which explains why the radical left is so desperate to shut down all forms of truth-telling. They alternately, bulldoze into our minds their false reality; attempting to subjugate our personal freedoms in their unrelenting efforts to suppress us.
They’ve created a world that doesn’t really exist–an illusory world where, as author and retired U.S. neurosurgeon Russell L. Blaylock puts it, “tax cuts are subsidies for the rich, where private property is theft, where mental disorders are mainstreamed as normal or even desirable behavior, where riots and looting are justified (social justice) and where founding principles of this country constitute racism and fascism. It is an illusory world where we remove the statutes of men who fought nobly and bravely for their region and where hundreds of thousands died on battlefields, because we are told they are symbols of racism. It is an illusory world where black people speaking proper English are considered traitors to one’s race and ‘Uncle Toms,’ and where wanting a civilized, peaceful nation is considered racist.”
“The realist knows, from his study of human history,” maintains Blaylock, “that elites are self-chosen; they become more brutal as the ‘utopian society evolves,’ and they distance themselves from what is euphemistically and distally called ‘the people.’ When the collectivists are challenged by the individualists, as to why people cannot make their own decisions as to what is best for themselves or their families, they are told in a condescending way: ‘When we let you make decisions, you make the wrong decisions.’ It is this contempt for the individual that drives socialism–collectivism.”
One of the most notable social philosophers of the twentieth century, Ludwig von Mises, stated that, “socialism in its essence is government compulsion, not freedom of the individual.” The Austrian logician also held that, “If history could teach us anything, it would be that private property is inextricably linked with civilization.” A conclusion undeniably at odds with the collectivist’s envisioned utopia.
Although aided by the national media, the indisputable facts certainly contradict all the media narrative that we have had to live with over the past few years. Like Russiangate, the most egregious, malevolent abuse of everything that was supposed to have been good about our government agencies, to the present day twisted narrative that in order to protect our democracy, a seated president should concede an election that is fraught with fraud …another reality, despite truckloads of evidence, the collectivists left choose to ignore; nothing to see hear folks, move on.
It is conspicuously apparent that, to the collectivist, the law exists only to the extent it ushers in their idyllic Shangri-La; otherwise, the law is intentionally ignored, termed archaic, subjectively interpreted, or is insidiously manipulated beyond recognition.
We have become a society polarized by misinformation. A society in which news no longer bears any resemblance to reality and journalists no longer police their own industry. A society where “fact-checkers” are de facto fabrication technicians. A society in which purported “grassroots protester” are, in fact, paid agitators …anarchist, if you prefer. A society where the keepers of social media have assumed the role of “moral agent,” attempting to decontaminate our information. A society in which viral social media posts, with no authenticity, take precedence over truth since people believe them easily as they are intentionally seeded to trigger a person’s emotions.
We have reached a crisis point in America when the president of the United States– the leader of the free world– is being censored by social media networks along with anyone else who dare challenge the false narrative. This is why the left is on a campaign to destroy freedom of speech, as they know that their ideas can never survive the intense light of reality. (A social media application touted as the free speech alternative to Twitter shot up to the top of Apple’s downloading charts after numerous incidents of censorship over the election.)
A little over a year ago, Pew Research Center released a report that looks at misinformation in America. Michael Dimock, president of Pew Research Center, a nonpartisan fact tank that informs the public about the issues, attitudes and trends shaping America and the world, writes, “Anxiety over misinformation has increased alongside political polarization and growing fragmentation of the media. Faith in expertise and institutions has declined, cynicism has risen, and citizens are becoming their own information curators. All of these trends are fundamentally changing the way people arrive at the kind of informed opinions that can drive effective governance and political compromise. According to the study, many Americans say the creation and spread of made-up news and information is causing significant harm to the nation and needs to be stopped. Nearly seven-in-ten (68%) say made-up news and information greatly affects Americans’ confidence in government institutions, and roughly half (54%) say it is having a major impact on Americans’ confidence in each other. More Americans view made-up news as a very big problem for the country (50%) than say the same about terrorism (34%), illegal immigration (38%), racism (40%) and sexism (26%).”
Complete honesty and transparency should never be political, but there are those who have chosen to exploit the fact that information is power, even when it’s contrived. And anyone who dare speak up and meet the enemy, risks the possibility that they will have a false reality launched against them to destroy their reputation and to silence them.
That can’t be what our founding fathers intended when they established this great democracy in this great constitutional republic.
As anti-utopian author George Orwell forewarned, “The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.”
