“A Collectors Art Sale” will be held on President’s Weekend by Art ’Round Town to raise funds for public art projects. Both new and previously enjoyed art will be available for purchase, and pieces will be available at two different locations:
North Shore Winery: Opening on Thursday, Feb. 15, beginning at 6 p.m. This sale will continue for a month. (202 Ski Hill Road, Lutsen).
Johnson Heritage Post: Opening on Friday, Feb. 16, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be provided for a donation. Sales will continue through Sunday. (115 W. Wisconsin St., Grand Marais).
Artists and members of the community are encouraged to donate original art or pieces they have enjoyed and are ready to pass on for this event. Any type of art is appreciated, from fiber to sculpture to painting and print. Donors can choose to make a 50/50 or a 100 percent donation.
