On Friday, June 23 the Cook County Search & Rescue and Colvill Fire Department successfully rescued an injured hiker at the Kadunce River. The cause of death for Jon Mathson, 41, of Eagan, has been confirmed by the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office and released to the Cook County Sheriff ’s Office. Mathson collapsed and died while running the 25-kilometer trail race on Saturday, May 20.
