Cook County’s first construction project of this season is under way at Lutsen Mountains. Work to replace the timber bridge just past the Eagle Ridge Check-in near the end of Highway (Hwy) 5, began this week. At approximately 9:15 a.m. on June 10, a Cook County sheriff ’s deputy attempted to pull a vehicle over for a speed violation east of Schroeder near the Temperance River.
