Senate bonding committee hears pitch for Grand Marais Parkside public water access

Grand Marais Mayor Jay Arrowsmith DeCoux and Cook County Chamber Executive Director Jim Boyd appeared before the Senate Capital Investment Committee to make a pitch for a redeveloped public access facility in Grand Marais harbor. Statement from Governor Dayton on jobs report

On Jan. 11 the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) released its latest monthly jobs report. Local songwriter wins honorable mention in international songwriting competition

The winners of the SongDoor 2017 International Songwriting Competition have been announced: the song “Slick Back” by Grand Marais songwriter Leah Thomas received honorable mention in the soft rock category.
