Baby arrives early for Tofte couple

Cook County emergency responders almost had the opportunity to deliver a baby on Tuesday, September 13, but the baby’s unexpected arrival happened before they could even respond. Franken opposes new road sign mandate

Sen. Al Franken has announced a proposal to eliminate a costly federal rule forcing Minnesota communities to replace all road signs by 2018. Forest Service, DNR impose fire restrictions

In light of continued unseasonably warm, dry conditions the Forest Service is restricting campfires in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW).
