Culvert project begins on Cramer Road

A culvert project is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 28 on CSAH 1 (Cramer Road). The Cook County Highway Department announced the project on July 28. North Shore Health Hospital/Care Center Director Kimber Wraalstad reports that Cook County has over a 73 percent vaccination rate for COVID-19, the highest percentage of any county in the state of Minnesota. Violent storms hit Cook County last week

Late Wednesday afternoon, June 30, a dramatic thunderstorm shut down the electrical power in Grand Marais. Closer to Canada, in the east end of the county, there was heavy rain and blankets of hail.
