The Lutsen 99er mountain bike race came to an abrupt end for one racer, a 32-year-old man from Duluth, who took a tumble 2 ½ hours into the challenging competition. No other bikes were involved. Grand Marais man injured by accidental gun discharge

Gary C. Radloff, 69, Grand Marais was injured when the Glock semiautomatic .40 caliber handgun he was cleaning accidentally discharged on Saturday, June 11, 2011. Radloff called Cook County Law Enforcement and transported himself to the emergency room of North Shore Hospital. He was then transported to Duluth.
