Elders getting ready for Rendezvous Days

Lots happening at the ENP

The Elders held their St Patrick’s Day bingo and stew cook-off on March 21, the first full day of spring. Thirteen stews were entered and after all was tasted and judged, Rick Johnson was the winner. The Elders at the Grand Portage Elderly Nutrition Program are staying busy. We continue to have strong participation in weekly water aerobics, chair exercise and Wisdom Steps programs. The Grand Portage Elders had a very successful 8th Annual Chili Cook Off and Meat Bingo at the Grand Portage Lodge on November 15. The event raised about $1,100. Fall fun and important presentations at ENP

The Grand Portage Elders have enjoyed this fall by celebrating Grandparent’s Day with a barbecue and picnic at High Falls State Park. Many grandchildren and grandparents enjoyed a beautiful day with great food, weather, hiking, games and drumming provided by the Stonebridge Singers.
