Le Grand Du Nord Gravel Cycling Classic a big success

Seven hundred mountain bikers took part in the Saturday, May 28 Le Grand Du Nord annual gravel grinding event that started in Grand Marais. Grand Portage to receive funds to improve housing

Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa will receive $391,473 to help improve housing on the reservation. The announcement came from U.S. Senator Tina Smith (D-Minn.) who chairs the Senate’s Housing Subcommittee. The Cook County girls’ and boys’ track teams competed at the May 18 Polar League Track and Field Championship, and both teams came away with some good results.
