Saturday, March 3, Harriet Walsh went to the counter of the newly reopened, refurbished Dairy Queen in downtown Grand Marais and ordered a shrimp basket. Nine Cook County residents competed in the 39th annual Birkebeiner 54K Classic cross country ski race held from Cable to Hayward, Wisconsin. Minnesota moose population continues downward fall

A series of Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) aerial surveys conducted this winter has indicated that the moose population in Northeastern Minnesota has again fallen.
