Musher Ryan Redington of Ashland, Wis. won first place at the 12-dog, 110-mile Gunflint Mail Run sled dog race. The Cook County Curling Club kicked off the 2016-2017 season last weekend with its 6th Annual Halloween Open Bonspiel. The season is expected to run for five months with league games every week.
