It’s lutefisk time again and Zoar Lutheran Church will be sponsoring a dinner at Birch Grove Center in Tofte. Chef Gary Hansen and assistant Dave Monson will be preparing this Norwegian delicacy.
Butter and cream sauces will be available, adding rich flavor to this fancy fish meal. It has been called the “smelly fish” by some of our northern residents, but if one has ever tasted Gary’s family recipe they would understand why Scandinavians come from places afar for this delicious meal.
For those who prefer a more traditional meal, ham will be offered as a second choice. Side dishes of lefse, vegetables, coleslaw and rolls will be a part of the trimmings. And of course there will be yummy pies for dessert. Wonderful gifts will be offered at a raffle that will take place during the meal time hours. Buy your raffle tickets at this grand dinner!
Organizers invite you to join them at Birch Grove Center, Saturday November 14, 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Dinner tickets will be sold at the door, $12.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under 10.
