The Northerners YMCA swim team took part in a “Relay Race for the Cane” swim meet this past weekend in Superior.
This meet consisted of relay races comprised of four swimmers per team for each race making for a great team building day. “The kids did an awesome job gathering their teammates and figuring out where they needed to be for their events,” said YMCA swim coach Emily Breaker.
“I also saw a few of our kids throwing on a pair of goggles and swimming in another event when a swimmer did not make it in time for their relay. Great attitudes and smiles with the added willingness to jump in when needed to made for an enjoyable day!”
