Too many of Minnesota’s children are not prepared for kindergarten, and a program called Parent Aware aims to change that by providing families the tools and information to find the best quality child care and early education available.
The Cook County YMCA’s Busy Bees daycare program submitted for a rating from Parent Aware and received four stars, which is the highest rating possible.
There are many benefits associated with receiving a rating from Parent Aware. In addition to providing high-quality professional development for the providers, Parent Aware also connects programs with much-needed funding for eligible families. Since Cook County YMCA’s Busy Bees has received the highest rating, income-eligible families with preschool-aged children are eligible for up to $7,500 a year to put towards childcare fees.
