The Y is dedicated to helping the community make lasting changes to improve your health, including diabetes prevention. With support from Healthy Northland, the diabetes prevention program is kicking off.
Every day another American is diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. One in three Minnesotans has prediabetes: are you that one? Type 2 diabetes is 100 percent preventable through small lifestyle changes.
Learn how to make these changes by eating healthier and getting active. The YMCA and Healthy Northland put together a yearlong program for adults with 16 weekly meetings that help focus on lifestyle changes, followed by monthly meetings to help participants maintain their changes. Is it time for you to make a change? Register now.
Curious if you’re at risk for prediabetes? Take the test at www.cookcountymca.org.
