The mantra heard frequently on WTIP North Shore Community Radio is “It’s all about the listener.” WTIP is now seeking the input of its listeners as it moves into its 13th year of service.
The station has developed a listener survey designed to collect comments and information about public preferences and needs. “We really want our listeners to let us know what they would like us to provide,” says WTIP’s Executive Director Deb Benedict. “The survey is a way for us to gather feedback and suggestions to help inform our decisions.”
Since its inception in 1998, WTIP has been working to serve and reflect its community of listeners through its eclectic programming. Last year, WTIP held an extensive listener survey and made several programming changes based on the feedback and input collected.
Now, as WTIP continues to strive to reflect the needs and preferences of its diverse listenership, the station is asking the community to once again provide input.
“WTIP wants to include the public in the discussion of its programming,” says Program Director Roger Linehan. “We are here because and for our listeners, and we will continue to respond to their needs and preferences.” The information gathered from the survey will be used to help inform the station’s decisions about future programming.
WTIP’s listener survey is available online at www.wtip.org and, for community members without internet access, paper copies will be available at the station until July 16.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and add your voice to the discussion of programming on WTIP.
