Every Friday night, radio listeners throughout Cook County and web-streamers from around the county tune into WTIP North Shore Community Radio for Small Change, a rapid-paced interactive trivia program. On Friday, June 7, as part of WTIP’s annual business meeting, many of those listeners had the chance to see as well as hear the program.
The popular trivia show, hosted by Anna and Dale Klobuchar, known as AK and DK by Small Change fans, followed a potluck dinner and business meeting.
At the business meeting, WTIP volunteers were recognized for their efforts, Treasurer Hyla Napadensky provided an update on the station’s financials, and Board President Ann Possis, Station Manager Deb Benedict, and Roadhouse co-host Buck Benson honored retiring Roadhouse host Bob Carter.
WTIP’s annual meeting also served as a celebration of the station’s 15 years of service. “The annual meeting was a really nice event,” Benedict said. “It was an opportunity to reflect on our history, visit with our members, review the past year, and enjoy one of WTIP’s interactive programs.”
Benedict noted that as a volunteer-driven community station, WTIP recognizes that their services would not be possible without community support. She said they are thankful for the support they have received over the years and look forward to continuing to serve the community in the years to come.
