Writer thanks local faith leaders for their work over the past year

I want to take a moment to recognize and thank our local faith communities for the work that they have done to keep our community safe during this last year. So many in Cook County have worked hard to bring us where we are today, and we have been able to recognize many. This is a group that deserves the same recognition. Our local congregations and faith leaders have put in an enormous amount of work to rethink how to worship and maintain their communities during this time. Throughout this entire pandemic we have not seen any outbreaks or significant COVID-19 transmission at places of worship which is a testament to their hard work. As a community member and part of the medical community I am so appreciative of the work these groups and others have done.

Sincerely,
Kurt Farchmin, MD,
Grand Marais
