Because life is short, and I thought I’d share.
The August 28th edition of the Cook County News- Herald included a picture of Hilda Anderson in the Historical Reflections section. Hilda Anderson is my great aunt. She is the sister to my grandma Ellen Backlund and other sister Jenny Malner. They all grew up in Colville and are the young toddlers featured on the front of the book written by Eleanor Stone. They were all part of the Leif Family. Their homestead was on County Road 14 on the east side.
Anyway, out of respect for my Auntie Hilda (married to Victor Anderson) I thought I’d share. The house they lived in is on 3rd Avenue West. I walked by it today. Pretty cool.
