While I do not know enough about the county politics and budget process to have an informed opinion, I do have some ideas about common decency.
Why does this newspaper continually give a defeated (and apparently extremely bitter) county commissioner the pulpit to spew venomous hatred and rhetoric about the county administrator?
The following is verbatim from “Reminder for Letters” that appears at the bottom of the Letters to the Editor page each week: “…we encourage writers to be respectful of one another. Your message is more likely to be heard if it is delivered in a civil manner.”
Mr. Gamble has failed all counts.
When this administrator has finally had enough and the county advertises for the job, what might be the caliber of applicants that choose to apply considering that they will be up against this newspaper?
