North House Folk School is offering free public Wood-Fired Baking Demonstrations every Friday afternoon, starting at 2:00 p.m. From flatbreads to pies, roasts to sweet breads, a new approach to wood-fired baking will be demonstrated every week and recipes shared.

Scott Pollock of North House says, “No registration is required, just your curiosity.”

Wood-Fired Baking will be offered Fridays through September.

If you are interested in using the community wood-fired oven to bake bread, visit North House on the fourth Sunday of the month from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. The Folk School will have the wood-fired oven prepared to welcome bread bakers. Pollock says, “Bring your own dough, prepared to bake at wood-fired temperatures, and meet other bread bakers!”

Bread baking Sunday sessions this summer include July 26 and August 23. Call (218) 387-9762 for more information on these and other related programs.
