Women’s Business Luncheon topic is sexual harassment prevention

As a business owner you are responsible for creating a safe and comfortable work environment for your employees. Do you have policies in place that will reduce the chances that you will have a sexual harassment issue? Would you know how to address a harassment issue? This month’s luncheon will focus on sexual harassment—how to recognize it, how to address it, and how to strengthen your policies to prevent it.

Candice Harshner, Executive Director and Sarah Fries, SANE Coordinator from the Program for Aid to Victims of Sexual Assault (PAVSA) will be our featured presenters. Jodi Yuhasey from the Cook County Violence Prevention Center will also be on hand to answer questions.

The Women’s Business Network luncheon is sponsored by Cook County Higher Education and the Northeast Entrepreneur Fund’s Women’s Business Network. All women interested in learning more about preventing sexual harassment are invited to attend the luncheon. The presentation and lunch will be held on Wednesday, April 28 from 11:30 a.m.– 1:00 p.m. at The Pie Place restaurant in Grand Marais. Thecost for the luncheon and presentation is $12.
