For many business owners, financial statements can be confusing and hard to interpret, but they don’t have to be. This month’s Women’s Business Luncheon will focus on taking the mystery out of the numbers.
Join Karen Kritta, CPA for an overview of interpreting financial statements— take a look at the numbers, what they mean, and how you can use them to make informed decisions regarding your business.
Kritta, a graduate of St. Cloud State University, has been a Certified Public Accountant for nearly 30 years. She also holds two business appraisal certifications. She began her career working for regional accounting firms providing traditional tax and audit services.
In 1992, Karen started her own practice providing accounting and tax services. Her business has evolved over the years into a consulting practice working in the areas of family law and business valuation. As a certified business appraiser, Kritta works closely with business owners who need their businesses valued. Kritta relocated her practice to Grand Marais in 2008.
The luncheon is sponsored by Cook County Higher Education and the Northeast Entrepreneur Fund’s Women’s Business Network. All women interested in learning more about financial statements are invited to attend this luncheon.
The presentation and lunch will be held on Wednesday, March 31 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at ThePie Place restaurant in Grand Marais. The cost for the luncheon and presentation is $12.
For more information and to register for the luncheon, e-mail highered@ boreal.org or call Cook County Higher Education at 387-3411. To help organizers plan accordingly, registrations must be received by Monday, March 29.
