Wolf Ridge open house set for June 18





At the Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center open house on Saturday, June 18, visitors can meet a friendly North American porcupine and several raptors—or they can try the Wolf Ridge Adventure Rope course or indoor rock climbing wall. The event is free!

It’s time once again for the annual open house day at Wolf Ridge. Join new Director Pete Smerud for a campus tour at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 18. From 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., explore the trails, canoe Wolf and Raven lakes, or try the Adventure Rope course and indoor rock climbing wall. Each person is welcome to try the adventure ropes and climbing wall twice.

At 4:30 p.m., meet the Wolf Ridge education ambassadors at the Science Center, a friendly North American porcupine and several raptors. Come for all or part of the day.

If you are a Wolf Ridge member, reserve your free lunch by calling 218-353-7414 by Monday, June 13. Picnic areas are available for those who want to bring their own food. Please check in at the office when you arrive. All events are free.
