The Grand Marais Public Library is proud to present, Tales from the Deep Woods by Fred Keller on Wednesday, Jan. 4, at 6 p.m. in the library. Please join us for the first of our Winter Wednesdays Series.
From the Red River Carts down to steamboat landings along the Mississippi, Fred Keller collects Minnesota stories and turns them into song. Come on down for an evening of song and story about lost—but not quite forgotten— Minnesota. Learn about timber cruisers and murder near Pipe Lake, logger’s pox, paper towns on the Government Road, and the old Skally Line. We’ll have a little clapping, maybe practice our mouth trumpet skills, and if we have enough room we might call a dance or two.
