Landscape photographer Chris Sandberg will lead a workshop designed to help outdoor photographers improve their artistry and technical skills on Feb. 25 at Sugarloaf Cove, with a “focus” on working in the cold and snowy Minnesota weather.
The two-hour class will focus on the two important parts of the photographic process: finding and capturing outdoor scenes that reflect the photographer’s vision, and presenting those images in the best possible prints. Topics in the class will include: . Avoiding the obvious picture . What to take into the woods (and what not to take) . Going beyond your camera’s program settings . How to adapt to winter’s special concerns and opportunities . Using Adobe’s Photoshop elements to produce great prints
The class will be appropriate for photographers of all skill levels, and will be held in the Cove’s main center from 10 a.m. until noon. Cost is $10 per person. Call 218-525-0001 to register.
