Winter parking goes into effect for Grand Marais

Now that snow is finally here the City of Grand Marais wants to remind residents to follow the parking rules to help city employees remove snow from the city streets.

Between midnight and 5 a.m. please park on the odd side of the street on odd days (1st, 3rd, 5th etc.) and park on the even side of the street on even days (2nd, 4th, 6th etc.).

Downtown on-street parking is prohibited between Lake Superior and Highway 61 on Broadway Ave, 1st Ave. W, 2nd Ave W, Wisconsin Street and 1st Street between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m.

Winter parking rules are in effect from November 15 through April 15 of each year.
