A book signing with author Sally Bair will be held at the Lake Superior Trading Post in Grand Marais on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 2-4 p.m. Bair will be signing her Alaskan adventure book, Williwaw Winds, which is based on her son’s true story of his dramatic rescue while returning from a crab fishing trip on the Bering Sea. Also available will be her newly-released sequel, Trouble at Fish Camp, an Alaska salmon fishing adventure and the second book in the “Ways of the Williwaw” series.
Bair’s Alaskan adventures are written for kids age 8 and up, and are also popular with adults. “I tell people my books are for kids 8 to 108,” she says.
Bair resides near Washburn, Wis., where she writes a weekly online and newspaper column, as well as children’s literature. She also speaks at various venues and is a teacher of writing.
