William “Bill” Gamble




William “Bill” Gamble M.D. died peacefully in his Plymouth, Minnesota home on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 with his loving family at his side.

His greatest pleasures were his faith, his family and his profession. In his profession, he most enjoyed his patients, building his clinical practice and surgery group and teaching. After retiring from surgical practice, he taught residents from the University of Minnesota surgical residency for over 30 years finding great pleasure in sharing his experience and his love for the work. He was thankful for the years he did international medical missionary work where his family was able to join him.

This summer, he and his wife, Cassie, celebrated 60 years of marriage.

He was preceded in death by his son, David.

He is survived by his loving wife Cassie; his children Tom, Kay, Anne; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service was held at Wooddale Church, Eden Prairie, Minnesota. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hovland on Saturday, October 8 at 11 a.m.
