Will Ramberg, a 6’5” Gopher guard, has seen his minutes go up as the Gopher’s men’s basketball team battles injuries and COVID. The Sophomore walk-on has been one of the first players off of the bench in recent games. Unfortunately, Will suffered a hand-injury and is questionable for upcoming games.
On January 4 Will saw 14 minutes of playing time against Illinois. He was one for two shooting. On January 16 Will played 11 minutes against Iowa. In that game Will had two rebounds, one assist and one steal.
A 2019 graduate of I.S.D. 166, Will ended his high school career as the all-time scoring leader at Cook County High School with 1,346 points. After high school Will attended McGill University in Montreal where he appeared in ten games, starting the last playoff where he scored 12 points and had three rebounds.
Will is the first Cook County High School graduate to play for the Gopher’s men’s basketball team.
