Wilderness conference upcoming

With the passage of the Wilderness Act in September 1964, a new course for conservation was charted. Fifty years later, the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute thinks this is still worth celebrating.

Join National Geographic “Adventurers of the Year” Dave and Amy Freeman of Grand Marais, canoeists Gary and Joanie McGuffin, Bush Foundation vice president Jaime Pinkham of the Nez Perce Tribe, Jim Pfitzer portraying Aldo Leopold, and many others who inspire and challenge at the Lake Superior Wilderness Conference Sept. 5 and 6 in Duluth.
