Those little numbers on the bathroom scale can affect the way we feel about our bodies, ourselves, and our lives. Why do they seem so powerful? What would happen if we shifted the way we approached food, eating, exercise…everything?
“Why Weight” is a 12-week program that will move you beyond impossible diets and grueling exercise. It’s a combination of:
. Book Club – We’ll gather new knowledge and
skills
. Support Group – We’ll strengthen each other
as we practice applying those skills
. Self-Hypnosis Workshop – We’ll learn to use
the power of simply paying attention
. Pot Luck – We’ll eat and enjoy food that nourishes
us – body, mind, and spirit
Hartley Newell-Acero, M.A., C.Ht. is the facilitator of the group. With a B.S. in psychology, an M.A. in behavioral science/fitness and human performance, and a certification in hypnosis, she offers a unique perspective on the challenges of weight management.
Theprogram begins Jan. 17 and runs through April 11, from 6-8 p.m. Cost is $200. Why weight? Call Community Education to register.
