Why did President Trump cancel equal pay for women and minorities?

On March 30th President Donald J. Trump, by executive order (EO), repealed former President Barack Obama’s EO that made equal pay for women and minorities mandatory in all federal contracts.

While “equal pay” had been in effect for some time, President Obama’s EO was in response to the Government Accountability Office’s investigation showing that some contractors who received millions in taxpayer money were nonetheless in violation of the law. The Obama EO was signed to end those violations.

What was President Trump’s reason for repealing it?

Although his opinion about and his use of women has been well documented, why keep persisting in putting his own “mark” on President Obama’s EOs? Could it be a “territorial” issue?

I once had a dog that did something like that. I didn’t like the dog much better than I Iike our current president. But I could at least understand what motivated the animal.

Or if not territorial, is it racist and hateful? Whatever it is, it’s not pretty.

More than half of Americans are either women or minorities. This recent claw back of the equal pay EO begs one question: is Donald Trump president of all of us in the United States, or just of those who make more than $1,000,000?
