Where are the fish biting?

Depths are running from 8 to 12 feet as well as 15 to 25 feet from what I’m hearing. I understand a lot of limits are being had. Minnows and leeches both are being jigged and slow-trolled or liverigged. Heck, some lakes all you gotta do is troll a Rapala.

Here are a few walleye lakes: Ball Club, Two Island, Cascade, Homer, Hungry Jack and of course Sag and Seagull. All are giving up the ‘eyes.

Smallmouth are hitting as well in 6 to 12 feet using minnows or Mepps spinners cast toward the shoreline. Smallies lakes to check out include Hungry Jack, Poplar and Devil Track. I’ve noticed some fly fishermen out looking for rainbows and brookies. Esther Lake gave up a few both on flies and Swedish pimples.

Tyson at the Beaver House has heard…

Walleye fishing action is good on Devil Track in the evening using slip bobber and Beaver Flicks (gold and orange or chartreuse colors) or float rigs with minnows or leech. Also good fishing in the evening on Elbow, Crescent, Sea Gull, Sag, Two Island and Pike lakes.

Rainbow trout have been good on Mink and Kimball lakes.

Smallmouth bass are biting well on Two Island and Devil Track lakes.

Northern are being caught on Devil Track and Northern Light lakes.
