Tyson at the Beaver House said small walleyes are biting well on Devil Track Lake on Beaver Flicks, float rigs and spin-n-glo rigs at depths of 6-8 feet in the evenings. Tyson has heard that Crescent and Hungry Jack lakes are giving up walleye with a leech and slip bobber.
Smallmouth bass are biting great on most lakes on the surface with torpedoes, artificial crawfish and Beaver Flicks.
Anglers tell Tyson that they are catching lake trout in the mouths of rivers using Little Cleos, Krocodile and Rooster Tails. Out in Lake Superior nice lake trout are being caught at 80-120 feet with a few salmon being caught.
Brook trout and rainbows are seeing action in the streams on flies, Beaver Flicks or plain hooks with a crawler. Also Mink, Kimball and Trout lakes are doing well, according to the fishermen who frequent the Beaver House.
Forrest at Hungry Jack Resort reports that the walleye bite is good on Hungry Jack. He said he is seeing them caught in the 24- to 27-inch range by anglers using leeches in 8-12 feet of water.
Forrest said lots of big smallmouth bass have been caught using leeches. They are more active during in the evening. One bass that was caught was 21 inches.
Rainbow trout are being caught in Leo Lake.
