Local resorts and outfitters are busy helping anglers get out on area lakes. The Cook County News-Herald was able to catch Tyson at the Beaver House for a quick fish report though.
Tyson tells us that small walleyes are biting well on Devil Track on Beaver Flicks, float rigs and spin-n-glo rigs in 6’-8’ deep in the evenings.
Muskies are begging to be caught on Crescent Lake.
Smallmouth bass are biting great on most lakes on the surface.
There have been some nice lake trout caught in the mouths of rivers using Little Cleos, Krocodile and Rooster Tails. Out in Lake Superior lake trout and a few salmon are being caught.
Anglers are seeing action with brook trout and rainbows in streams on flies, Beaver Flicks or plain hooks with a crawler. Also Mink, Kimball and Trout lakes are doing well for local anglers.
