Capt. Jerry Skarupa of Secret Lures Charters reports that Lake Superior’s surface temperatures are around 48-50 degrees. Lake trout are still around at various depths from 120 feet to the surface. There are still a few salmon around.
Forrest Parson of Hungry Jack Lodge says a few walleye are being caught, but as the weather cools down the walleyes should pick up, being deeper (25 to 35 feet) during the day.
Leo Lake is producing rainbow trout trolling or still fishing with a crawler.
More grouse are being seen, and will get better as the leaves drop off.
