Patrick Erickson, 9, from Monticello, Minnesota came for a long weekend to find moose sheds. And unbelievably, he did. Between Greenwood and Carrot lake and over four miles of old trails and in the pouring rain, he found this moose antler shed as well as a magenta shelf fungi.

Capt. Jerry Skarupa of Secret Lures Charters reports that Lake Superior’s surface temperatures are still cold – 48-54 degrees – and not much has changed from previous weeks. Lake trout are up and down. There are very few salmon around.
