John at Buck’s Hardware said March 23 that there has been some success with bringing in lake trout: On Trout Lake in 25 feet of water using wax worms or minnows and jig, and rainbows just under the ice; and on Clear Water Lake in 35 feet of water using jig and minnows.
It was a slow week in the Trail Center Lodge Fishing Contest, with no new entries being received since March 17. Trail Center will close for a month on Sunday, March 28, and a list of fish contest winners and prizes will be announced soon thereafter. Trail Center will re-open May 1.
