Where are the fish biting?

Winners for the 2013 Big Fish Contest have been announced by Buck’s Hardware. The contest ran from July 27 through Aug. 4.

Meanwhile, out on the Big Lake, Capt. Jerry Skarupa of Secret Lures reports that there are a lot more salmon around than last week in the top 50- foot range.

Lake trout are in scattered depths and close to the top.

The water temperature is around 55 degrees.
