Where are the fish biting?

Jon at Buck’s Hardware Hank has this week’s report:

A little walleye action was being reported on Seagull and Saganaga lakes. Most were fishing pretty deep, over 25 feet. Jigs and jigging minnows, as well as pimples tipped with minnows, were some of the rigs used.

Though it’s slowed quite a bit, South Fowl might give up a few walleyes. Don’t forget Devilfish Lake either.

For trout in the area, Trout Lake was a bit slow, giving up a couple of small lakers and a few rainbows, while Kemo produced a few more of size. Don’t forget about West Bearskin and Clearwater lakes. Those two lakes are always a good bet when searching for lakers.

While Mayhew Lake was also reportedly doing pretty OK, Moss was also giving up a few splake and brookies.

It’s going to get bitterly cold early next week so if you go out, bundle up and make sure everything is operating well. Good luck everybody!
