David “DJ” Johnson of Grand Marais has been catching quite a few birds with his camera lately. He saw this colorful fellow at the hummingbird feeder on May 15. At first Johnson thought it was a Baltimore Oriole, but later determined it was an Orchard Oriole. He said he recommends the website www.allaboutbirds.org for help in identifying bird species. And, he added, “Isn’t spring great?”
