Tom Spence Sr. of Schroeder took this photo of some healthy American White Pelicans resting on a rock just east of Taconite Harbor. According to his birding source, his wife, Dorie, the bird with the gray neck and head is an immature bird. The pelicans posed for about an hour and then flew off to the east.
