Web watching—not the computer kind

If you are fascinated with the wonder of spiders and their webs, pre-register and join Larry Weber on August 25 for an evening walk looking at webs and their spiders.

We will investigate at Sugarloaf Cove to see which members of the spider world live here and what are their unique strategies for success in catching tasty morsels, and who are likely contributors to the survival of specific spiders.

Naturalist Larry Weber has just published a new book on Spiders called “Web Watching: A Guide to Webs and the Spiders That Make Them.”

Join us as Larry gives us a sneak peek at the wonders of different types of webs, and which type of spider made them. We’ll learn where to look for webs, learn about the engineering process of making them, and when you are most likely to see them. Time spent with Larry is guaranteed to leave you lots of new and fascinating insights on the wonders of the natural world! Free. Donations appreciated.
