Cook County Soil and Water Conservation District and Lake County Soil and Water Conservation District are in the process of developing a 10-year plan to protect, improve and conserve the water resources in the Lake Superior basin on the North Shore of Lake Superior.
A “community conversation” and update will be held at Devil’s Track Landing Feb. 23. The evening includes “One Watershed, One Plan Background” at 5 p.m., dinner from 5:45 to 6:15 p.m. followed by the “Community Conversation” until 7:30 p.m.
The Conservation District representatives said they will present what’s been developed so far for the plan and gather perspectives on what is important to the community as the plan moves forward.
