Jean Brislance has had a great week of bird watching— and photographing his stunning feathered friends.

“Since August 1st, we (he and his wife) have observed 15 different species of warblers at our place in Lutsen, with as many as 11 different species in a single day. It feels like the fall migration is starting early this year, and we don’t ever recall seeing this much warbler activity this early in August. I have no way of knowing for sure, but I have been wondering if the Canadian wildfires are pushing birds down here sooner than normal. The bird watching has been outstanding as of late, and I was thrilled to get another photo of the Canada Warbler in particular.”
