Grand Marais Public Library is set to host Beth Benson for her presentation “Walking without words” on Jan. 31 at 6 p.m. Benson will discuss finding welcome in far places and receiving hospitality with no common language. Journey with her using the five senses: sight, sound, smell, taste and touch doing the work of peace without the ability to dialogue.
Beth Benson has most recently traveled to Israel/ Palestine receiving welcome from Jewish, Arab and other folks who dwell in a land of deep beauty and enduring grace. There will be opportunities to engage all five senses as we are exposed to and celebrate differences as well as the common ground we all share.
