Voyageur Brewing Company on Highway 61 in Grand Marais will be opening the doors of the brewery and tasting room on Thursday, February 12. Community members are invited to stop by to see the unique brewery building—a bold blend of new and old. And of course to sample the craft beer made onsite.
In a news release, Cara Sporn, one of the owners, said, “I’m thrilled to be able to make a local craft beer for people to enjoy not only in our taproom in Grand Marais but also out on their own adventures. Every type of voyage is made even better with a craft beer.”
“There’s no better time to talk about a great fishing trip or canoe trip than when you have a cold craft beer in your hand,” said another owner Mike Prom, who is also co-owner of Voyageur Canoe Outfitters at the end of the Gunflint Trail. “We want to hear what adventures our guests are having in our neck of the woods and give them another reason to want to return. The ambiance and friendliness at Voyageur Brewing Company will be that other reason.”
Tasty appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages along with welcoming atmosphere and the view of Lake Superior will no doubt make the brewery a favorite of all who visit.
