Vote yes for God-ordained marriage in November! How has Satan, the Prince of Deceit, the Father of Lies, persuaded people to believe that wrong is right and right is wrong? Just as he tempted Eve in the Garden (can’t you just hear his oily voice?): “Has God indeed said you shall not eat of every tree in the garden?” assuring Eve that she would not surely die, as God had said, if she ate from the one tree in the Garden God had forbidden Adam and Eve to eat. Read Genesis 3 – the tragic story of the fall of man.
We know Eve listened to Satan. She liked the thought of “being like God” (doing what was right in her own eyes), so she ate the forbidden fruit and gave to Adam who was with her and he also ate. Immediately their “eyes” were opened. For the first time they experienced fear and shame. They experienced separation from their Holy God, and spiritual death. They tried to cover their nakedness with fig leaves. God shed the blood of innocent animals to cover them.
That blood and the blood of all of the innocent animals sacrificed for the sins of mankind pointed to that Day when Jesus, the sinless Lamb of God, would die on the cross, once for all, shedding His precious, innocent blood to wash away our sin.
Satan wants you to believe every kind of lie: “Homosexuality, adultery, premarital sex is not sin,” the lie of evolution and “all religions lead to Heaven.” The lie “God does not love you, look what you have done!” and “When you die, that’s the end,” etc.
No, my friend, God’s Word says: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Gen. 1:1.
God loved you so much that He gave His Only Begotten Son to die in your place. John 3:16.
Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes unto the Father except through Me.” John 14:6.
“It is appointed unto man to die once, and after this the judgment.” Hebrews 9:27
Read Genesis Ch. 19, a Holy God’s judgment against homosexuality and Revelation 20:11-15. The setting is described, the summons is given. Every sin will be revealed at the judgment seat of Christ.
Will you believe Jesus or the Deceiver?
